Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Peprise when you use this website or place an order. Please read section 3 in particular — it is the condition everything else rests on.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Peprise. You can reach us at support@pepriseusa.com, +1 (201) 478-1333, Monday–Friday, 9:00AM–5:00PM Eastern.

Throughout this page, “we”, “us”, and “Peprise” mean the same thing, and “you” means the person or organisation using the site or placing an order.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, placing an order, or using this site, you agree to these Terms of Service, to our Privacy Policy, and to our Research Use Only policy. If you do not agree to all three, do not use the site.

If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, university, or institution, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

3. Research use only — the condition of every sale

Everything we sell is supplied for laboratory research use only. It is not a drug, food, cosmetic, dietary supplement, or medical device, it is not approved by the FDA for use in humans or animals, and it must never be used in or on a person or an animal.

This is not a formality and it is not a disclaimer we hide at the bottom of a page. It is the basis on which we are willing to sell to you at all. The full terms are set out in our Research Use Only policy, which forms part of this agreement.

If you intend to use these products in or on a person or an animal, you may not buy them from us.

4. Eligibility and your account

To hold an account you must be at least 21 years old, be legally able to enter into a contract, and be buying for laboratory research purposes.

When you register you confirm your age, your research role, your affiliation, and the use restriction in section 3. That confirmation is recorded with its date, stays current for 12 months, and a copy is kept with every order you place.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us, for keeping your password to yourself, and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it. We may suspend or close an account, and cancel any order attached to it, if the information given to us is inaccurate or if the account is used in a way that breaks these terms.

5. Prices, and what an order actually is

Prices are shown in US dollars and are visible once you have an account and a current confirmation on file. They exclude shipping and any tax, both of which are calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.

Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. The contract is formed when we accept your order by dispatching it. Until then we may decline it. We will always tell you why, and we will not charge you for an order we decline — if a charge has already been taken, we refund it in full.

We may decline an order if:

we believe it is intended for use in or on a person or an animal,
the details given to us appear to be inaccurate,
the item is out of stock or a lot has been withdrawn,
there is an obvious pricing or description error,
we cannot ship to the address given, or
we suspect fraud or a card being used without permission.

Pricing errors. We try hard to keep prices right, but if an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price we are not obliged to sell at it. We will contact you, and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

6. Payment

Placing an order does not transfer payment. For the manual payment options offered at checkout, follow the instructions on the order confirmation and send the amount shown using your chosen payment service or wallet. We hold the order until receipt of payment is verified. We do not collect full card numbers or card security codes through checkout. Cryptocurrency payments must use the asset and network specified in the instructions; a transfer on a different network may not be recoverable.

Check the payment recipient and order number against your order confirmation. Contact us if a payment looks unfamiliar.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you give us. Sales tax is applied where we are required to collect it, based on your delivery address.

7. Shipping

We ship to the United States only. We do not ship internationally under any circumstances, and we cannot forward to a freight forwarder or an export agent. Full details — timing, cost, packing, and what to do if something goes wrong — are in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us. If a package arrives damaged or wrong, tell us promptly, preferably within 48 hours, so we can document the problem — see the Refund & Returns Policy.

8. Returns and refunds

Our Refund & Returns Policy forms part of these terms and explains what can be returned, in what condition, by when, and how refunds are issued. It includes our full-order guarantee for damage on arrival and qualifying purity claims. The evidence requirements and refund method are set out on that page.

9. What you may not do

You agree not to:

use anything bought from us in or on a person or an animal, or supply it to anyone who intends to;
resell, repackage, or relabel our products as suitable for human or veterinary use, as a supplement, or as a compounded preparation;
export anything bought from us, or arrange for it to be exported;
give us false information about who you are, what you do, or what the material is for;
use the site to break any law, or to help anyone else break one;
copy, scrape, republish, or resell our content, photographs, certificates, or product data;
attempt to gain access to accounts, systems, or data that are not yours;
interfere with the site’s operation, or introduce anything harmful to it.

10. No medical, scientific, or professional advice

Nothing on this site — product pages, the research library, the FAQ, or anything our staff tell you — is medical advice, a recommendation, or professional guidance of any kind. We do not provide dosing, administration, or human-use information in any circumstance.

The research library summarises published literature. It reports what other people have found; it is not a claim by us about what our products do, and it is not evidence of safety or effectiveness. You are the researcher and the judgement is yours.

11. Reviews and anything you post

Reviews are accepted from verified buyers only. A lot number you give us has to match a real order before a review is published, and every submission is held for that check rather than published automatically. We do not publish incentivised or fabricated reviews.

We may decline or remove a review that is off-topic, abusive, contains personal information, describes human or animal use, or that we cannot verify. We do not edit reviews to change what they say.

By submitting a review you give us permission to publish it on this site along with your name and affiliation as you gave them, and you confirm it is your own honest experience.

12. Our content

The text, design, photographs, logo, product data, and certificates on this site belong to Peprise or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may read, print, and share pages for your own research use. You may not republish, sell, or use them commercially without our written permission.

13. Warranties — what we do and do not promise

What we do promise. Testing status and any available certificate are shown for the relevant product or lot. A missing certificate or pending result is not proof of testing. Our Refund & Returns Policy sets out our express damage and purity guarantee; the limitations below do not reduce that guarantee or any non-waivable statutory rights.

What we do not promise. Beyond that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, products and this website are provided “as is”. We disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that a product is suitable for your particular experiment, that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the research library is complete or current.

We give no warranty of any kind for any use in a human or an animal, because no such use is permitted.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Peprise is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute goods, arising out of your use of this site or our products.

Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Some states do not allow certain limitations, in which case the ones that are not allowed simply do not apply to you.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Peprise, its owners, and its staff against any claim, loss, or cost — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your breach of these terms, from any use of our products in or on a person or an animal, or from your transfer of our products to someone else.

16. If we disagree

Talk to us first. Call +1 (201) 478-1333 or write to support@pepriseusa.com if you would like help resolving a problem. Contacting us is not a condition of exercising statutory or payment-provider rights.

Payment disputes. You may contact your bank or payment provider about an unfamiliar or disputed transaction. This policy does not waive or shorten any applicable dispute deadline.

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and both of us consent to that, except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to another jurisdiction or forum.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Changes apply from the day they are posted, and they do not change the terms that applied to an order already placed. If a change is material we will tell account holders by email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

18. The rest

Whole agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Research Use Only policy, the Refund & Returns Policy, and the Shipping & Delivery Policy, are the entire agreement between us about this site and supersede anything said beforehand.

If part of this is unenforceable, the rest still stands, and the unenforceable part is read as narrowly as it needs to be to become enforceable.

Not waiving anything. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.

Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor of the business.
